I used to have two sets of drawers under my desk but I wanted more room underneath and somewhere to store my books.
My brother put together the bookcase and I stacked it with the books so I could get the layout right.
He screwed together four metal bookends and a board of MDF. Two bookends are at the top and two at the bottom and the books are placed between them.
There are parts of the case where the books are looser and I can get them out. I put the books that I hadn’t read yet or I looked in frequently in these areas.
